Lucille Hininger was born on August 31, 1930, to Clarence and Carrie (Keltner) Hininger on the Keltner Farm, located three miles northwest of Jasper, Missouri, in Barton County’s Blue Community.
She graduated from Jasper High School in 1947 and later attended Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield, Missouri, for three summers to qualify as a teacher. Lucille taught three terms at Duvall School in Barton County.
On December 23, 1950, she married Linden Wolf at the bride’s home. Their marriage spanned 63 years and was filled with love, faith, and family.
Lucille was fondly known as the “Iantha Food Fairy.” She tended large gardens, canned generously, and delighted in giving her produce away. Famous for her cinnamon rolls and chicken and noodles, food was truly her love language. She was often heard asking, “Are you hungry? Eat!” She was a member of the 4-H and was a leader for Progressive 4-H Club for several years. She also worked in the cook shack for the Rough Riders 4-H club.
Her favorite Bible verse, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” reflected her joyful and faithful spirit. Her life centered on church and children. Lucille was an active member of the Iantha Church for 75 years, participating in W.S.C.S., Sunday School, and Bible School. Alongside Linden, she traveled to all 50 states and abroad.
Lucille is survived by her children, Linda (Leland) Eggerman and Bruce (Rita) Wolf; seven grandchildren, Andy (Brandi) Wolf, Lesha (David) Muncy, Linse (Dan) Hawks, Addie (Reed) Graham, Adam (Kati) Wolf, Lee (Kara) Eggerman, and Landon (Erin) Eggerman; twenty great-grandchildren, Kynli (Mitchell) Light, Kayli Wolf, Rolli, Harper, Tripp, Dax, Baron and Fallen Wolf, Dagan and Dalton Graham, Madelyn (David) Burk, Lucas, Addison, Gage, and Gavin Eggerman, Boone and Wade Eggerman, Wyatt, Emelia, and Anna Hawks; and one great-great-grandchild, Zander Burk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Linden Wolf; her parents; and her siblings, Nadine Jones, Laura Hininger, and Clyde Hininger.
If you would like to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers, the family suggests the Iantha Community Church or the Iantha Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Konantz Warden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Iantha Community Church, followed by interment at Iantha Cemetery.
