David Ellsworth Allen

David E. Allen, 89, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on May 13, 2025.

David was born in Lamar, Missouri, to Walton and Edith Allen. He attended Lamar schools and graduated from Lamar High School in 1953. From 1958 to 1960, David honorably served in the United States Army as an auto mechanic.

On August 10, 1968, he married Wanda F. Cramer in Reeds, Missouri. Together, they built a life raising their family and farming.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, and two grandchildren.

David is survived by his five sons and their spouses: Paul and Michele Allen of Lamar, Joseph and Audi Allen of Lamar, Philip and Angela Allen of Avilla, James and Deborah Allen of Lamar, Timothy and Pamela Allen all of Lamar. He also leaves behind a legacy of 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 7, 2025, at Oakton Church in Lamar, Missouri.
