Kenneth Frank Hiebert, 86, of Liberal, MO and a longtime resident of Winona, MO passed away on Wednesday Feburary 4, 2026. He was born in Great Bend, KS to Wilbur and Evelyn (Summitt) Hiebert. Kenneth was a hay broker and owned a business with his brother that sold and treated lumber.
Kenneth married Patrick Plunk on August 30, 1957 at the Winona Christian Church. To this union, three children were born: Rita Sue, Renai Machelle, and Kenneth (Kenny) Charles.
After his divorce, Kenneth sold the farm and moved to town. He met Deloris Gaines through a Christian network and they were married June 21, 1991. With this marriage, he gained two sons, David and Chris Gaines.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Evelyn Hiebert, sister Margaret Moberly, daughter Renai Machelle Beachy and grandson Matthew Gaines.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Deloris, his brother Wilbur Hiebert of Springfield, MO, sisters Gladys (Loyd) McBride of Milner, GA, Debbie Wethy of Winona, MO. His children Rita (Max) Barkley of Scottsboro, AL, sons Kenny (Robin) Hiebert of Winona, MO, Davide (Carol) Gaines of Liberal, MO and Chris Gaines of Schell City, MO. Grandchildren Amber (Russ) O'Rear, Justin (Jana) Barkley, Amanda (Cody) Ogden, Danielle (Lucas) Brown, Emily (Jonathan) Messindick, Kendra (Mark) Haynes, Kyla Hiebert, Josh (Teresa) Gaines, Aaron Gaines, nineteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.
Kenneth was a fiathful member of the Winona Christian Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Board Member and Elder.
After they moved to Liberal, he attended Liberal Christian Church.
In later years, Kenneth enjoyed taking an hour or two lunch break at the Winona Senion Center. He was known for liking hot dogs and cherry pie. He was always up for a card game of pitch. You could always hear him saying, "you bet" clapping his hands in a room full of people to get their attention or to say a prayer before the meal.
