Melvin Monroe
Melvin L. Monroe, 61, who died August 25, 2015. Survivors include three sisters, Coleen Kelley, Tallassee, Ala., Rose Gorsic, Warrensburg and Janet Searles, Iantha; four cousins, Mark Monroe, Janet Marley, Tim FitzGerald and Jeanne Piercy and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Monroe was a veteran of the United States Navy and as an E-4 served as a gunner during Desert Storm on the USS Wainwright and the USS Jack Williams. He then became a cook for the Navy.
